STAFF

Rika has taught preschool for 7 years, the last 3 spent at ACP.  Working with multiple age groups, she especially enjoys watching each student grow and develop throughout the year.  She is fluent in Japanese and enjoys traveling, especially to Japan. 

Jenny has worked as a teacher and assistant at ACP for 16 years and went to ACP as a preschooler! She is currently pursuing her graduate degree in social work. In her free time, she loves gardening, yoga, and cooking. 

Krista has taught at ACP for 20 years as both an assistant and lead teacher. Her favorite part is seeing students' growth in academic and social/emotional skills and watching friendships form. Outside of ACP, she enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, coffee with friends, and trips to the ocean.

Ashley has worked at ACP the past 4 years with both the 2/3s and 3/4s classes and her son attended ACP.  She loves seeing students' bright smiling faces each morning and having the opportunity to "be a big kid" all day long. She enjoys soccer, running, hiking, and cooking. 

Dany has worked at ACP for the past 2 years with the 2/3s and 3/4s classes and her daughter attended ACP.   She is fluent in Spanish, and her favorite part of teaching is watching each child’s growth throughout the year. In her free time, she enjoys art, especially painting.

Christy has taught preschool for 32 years, working with multiple ages, and has been a lead Pre-K teacher at ACP the last 4 years. She is originally from Hawaii and speaks some Japanese. She enjoys getting to know each child and their unique personalities and passions.  In her free time, she enjoys art, photography, and fishing.

Carman has worked with Pre-K students at ACP over the past 3 years. She is fluent in Cantonese and also speaks some Mandarin. She really enjoys interacting with the preschoolers, as they are always inspiring her and teaching her new things.  In her free time, she likes traveling, and one of her favorite destinations is Japan. 

Annie has worked at ACP with Pre-K students for 2 years, and previously worked in early childhood education in China for 10 years. She is fluent in Mandarin. Her favorite part of the day is circle time as she enjoys seeing children build relationships and learn to express themselves. She likes traveling, hiking, swimming, reading, and walking her dog.

Melanie has been teaching 3/4s and Pre-K classes at ACP over the past 10 years and 7 years in the UK. Her daughter attended ACP after her family moved here from England. She especially enjoys teaching her students about art and the creative process and sparking each child’s natural curiosity. Her favorite activities include reading, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
